Maalifushi by COMO opened in the Maldives in January 2014. It is placed in the heart of Thaa Atoll, popularly known for its diverse species of fishes and sharks. Thaa Atoll is a 60-minute seaplane journey from the capital, Male. Maalifushi is the ultimate away-from-it-all destination with white beach, inland tropical greenery and a cobalt lagoon. Maalifushi also provides the ideal base for exploring the surrounding seas through surfing, sailing and diving, with instruction for all these activities available on site.
All the villas feature a dining table, iPod docking station, DVD player and coffee machine. Most villas include a spacious private pool. At Maalifushi by COMO, guests can go for snorkeling trips and diving lessons with PADI at an extra charge. Other facilities include a 24-hour reception, airport shuttle services and world-class yoga facilities.
In addition, Maalifushi has three popular restaurants: ‘Thila’, for family-friendly cuisine; ‘Madi’, for local, Mediterranean, Indonesian and Thai-accented dishes; and ‘Tai’ for gourmet Japanese. Madi Restaurant will serve all-day Maldivian and international cuisines. Guests can also enjoy traditional Japanese dishes at Tai Restaurant or unwind with a cocktail at Thila Bar.
